Description
Liberia flag is a horizontally striped national flag with six red stripes and five white stripes and a blue canton bearing a white star. The width-to-length ratio of the flag is 10 to 19. The American Colonization Society was established in 1816 by Abolitionists who felt that freed slaves should be helped in returning to Africa. Destination Liberia, the “Land of the Free” a tropical country in West Africa with a spectacular coastline at the North Atlantic Ocean. The country was known for some time as the Pepper Coast and later as the Grain Coast.
